1. Acceptance of Terms By downloading, installing, or using EOS Utility, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you disagree with these terms, do not download, install, or use EOS Utility.
2. License Canon grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use EOS Utility for personal or business purposes by these terms. This license prohibits you from sublicensing, distributing, or selling EOS Utility.
3. Restrictions: You may not modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble EOS Utility. You may not remove any proprietary notices or labels from the software. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or use of EOS Utility is strictly prohibited.
4. All intellectual property rights in EOS Utility, including but not limited to software code, trademarks, logos, and other elements, are owned by Canon or its licensors. You do not acquire any rights, title, or interest in EOS Utility except for the limited license granted under these terms.
5. Updates Canon may, at its discretion, provide updates, upgrades, or enhancements to EOS Utility. These updates may be subject to additional terms and conditions, and you may need to accept such terms before installing the updates.
6. Support Canon may offer support for EOS Utility, but it is under no obligation to do so. Support may include troubleshooting assistance, updates, or patches, but Canon does not guarantee the availability or effectiveness of support.
7. Termination Canon reserves the right to terminate your license to use EOS Utility at any time, with or without cause. You must cease using EOS Utility upon termination and delete all copies from your devices.
8. Limitation of Liability Canon shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of EOS Utility, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits, even if Canon has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties EOS Utility is provided “as is” without any warranties, either express or implied. Canon disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Governing Law These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Canon is headquartered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
11. Severability: If any provision of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
12. Entire Agreement These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Canon regarding using EOS Utility and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter.
By continuing to use EOS Utility, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
